Refund Policy
This policy was last updated September 2023.
Generally, all holding deposits and entry fees are non-refundable. However, the following are exceptions:
- Cooling Off Period
You may withdraw free of charge within 14 days of making the entry. You must do this by runner@realbuzz.com stating clearly which race you wish to withdraw from. We will confirm your withdrawal by return email and refund any holding deposit or entry fee paid to you within 14 days.
- Achieving recommended fundraising target
If you meet your full recommended fundraising target within 14 days of your event taking place, your holding deposit will be refunded to you by us within 30 days.
- You cannot run your event due to unforeseen circumstances.
Unfortunately, we cannot refund your holding deposit and any entry fee in these circumstances. However, we will consider any request for refunds due to extenuating circumstances on a case-by-case basis. If you cannot run due to medical circumstances, we may ask you to provide evidence from your doctor or practitioner. To discuss your options, contact our team at runner@realbuzz.com.
You can, if you wish, defer your entry to a different, equivalent event (same distance) if there is a one suitable on for your requirements, subject to availability, or you can defer to the same event for the following year, subject to availability.
- If the race does not take place
If the race does not take place as scheduled, we cannot refund your holding deposit and any entry fee in these circumstances. However, you can transfer your entry to a different, equivalent event (same distance) if there is a one suitable for your requirements, subject to availability, or you can defer to the same event for the following year, subject to availability. We will not be responsible for any other losses you may incur in these circumstances.
Please note, if you have applied and been accepted for a place as part of an Official Programme, and a charity has asked you to pay a deposit, this is not dictated or managed by realbuzz and would be subject to the terms of the charity you have applied for.
