I'm a full time mum of 2 and started running in 2006 having lost 3st in weight. After 2 years of up's and downs, regaining and relosing the weight, and injury problems, the training is finally beginning to pay off and I feel I'm getting somewhere. Running doesn't come easy, especially being so overweight (still a bit to lose), but I'm persevering and won't give up. When I'm not running I'll be down the allotment, or planning the school gardening/eco club, or attending transition town meetings, or knitting socks, and generally trying to green up my way of life. Ideally I would love to live in a straw bale house in the middle of the New Forest with off-grid solar panels for power, a well for water and a composting toilet to get rid of the waste. I would have a goat for milk, chickens for eggs and the allotment for most of my food - and I would never have to visit Te$co!
