This is a really laid back place and one I could see myself spending some serious time in if I had it. Weather has been hot with some serious rain every now and again but it always goes pretty quick! Anyway back to the fishing from last week. What a great trip. We got picked up early and seemed to go for about an hour out to see before we did amixture of fishing from the boat and trawling for the bigger stuff. Between us we got 20 fish including 8 barracuda. The guide said he hadn't had a day like it for ages! It was incredible. Then we saw a couple of sharks - black tipped reef sharks apparently!

It was then a case of filleting and even though it's not the best job in the world we had a go and managed to get some meat off! At the end of the day we took a couple of barracuda to a local restaurant and they cooked them for us - superb!

just uploaded a picture to my profile of a load of fish - it's our catch from today! Will post more later but I have had the most amazing day. We organised a fishing trip got met early and headed about a mile out to sea. Just the two of us and the guide - superb. I loved it!

drove down to what is considered to be the best beach area in Belize and it looks pretty chilled out. Found a place to stay just north of the main town but it has no air conditioning so I'm not sure how well we are going to sleep. It's pretty hot - late 20s - and thankfully no rain. Tomorrow we're going to book some trips like game fishing as this is supposed to be a good area for it.

Looking forward to getting out and seeing the area.

Got here last night and hired a car from the airport. Driving into town was an experience. Took a wrong turn and nearly caused chaos! Not much to see in the City so heading down to Placencia tomorrow to get some sun for a few days.
