Overview

I have been running off and on for over 15 years now , only a plodder though .Last year is the tenth anniversary of my first London marathon , and it was my 7th .5h 11 min,  Best time 4.45  , not world beating but i can say IDID IT .

I usual;ly try to pick a chariry to run for close to my heart .But if I get in the VLM , I will be running for me , no pressure to raise money , no expectations from anybody . I will be doing it for purely selfish reasons , because I want to.

I may mention dancing from time to time , this is traditional Esat Anglian dancing , we are called the Ousewashes Molly dancers .Check out our website http://www.ousewashes.com/ ,

Physio and lurgy??

Oh the pain , I was nearly crying , all I had to do was hold my arm out and press against physios hand with mine , and that as only the start... After half an hour of pulling and pushing , massageing , exercises , I was in more pain when I left .The problem , apparantly is in my shoulder and neck?? She is going to work on them next week ,i can't wait..I have a series of exercises to do ith a big rubber band , 4 times a day ???

I called in at the gym on the way home , didn't fancy the gym so hit the pool instead , managed 20 laps ,none stop.I find ding laps you dont stop at the end of the pool to turn round , and as its only a small pool you spend a lot of time turning round. So 20 min of solid swimming. Arm felt great after , for a while .

The lurgy ,or not .Nothing has materealised as yet , just feel run down , feel like a colds about to start but nothing happening.I hate these type of bugs , building up ,then all at once they pounce and knock you for six.Hopefully it will pass without incident , fingers crossed.

Gym on way home , a good run on the treadie methinks.

Your arm sounds a nightmare, hope they work out what it is soon. As for the bugs with all thats going on I'm not surprised you're a bit down but hopefully you'll escape anything too major.

Amazing that you can swim 20 lengths with teh problems being with your shoulder and neck - but wouldnt knock it! Good to do some training and hope it gets sorted soon

I could use some physio like that on my back.

However, I can't afford it, so it's the NHS for me.
