Overview

Hi all,

I'm training to run for the adidas 5K Women's Challenge in support of Alzheimer's Society UK. This event will be taking place in Hyde Park London on the 7th September this year.

As a medical student, I am truly aware of how important that more aids go to the funding of the research of Alzheimer's, and though the current drugs can already slow the progression of the debilitating disease, both for the patient and especially for the family, there are yet more to be done to find the most appropriate way to stop the progression of the disease, and I genuinely believe it can be done.

Running is truly my passion and I am glad I can be using it to help the Alzheimer's Society. I've already started my training three weeks back, and hopefully shall be continuing this great race intensively.

Aut viam inveniam aut faciam- if there's a will there's always a way!

Very unfortunately, I had injured my back this morning. And this has caused a lot of distress as this means I will need to stop my training temporarily.

Hopefully I shall recover soon, and really looking forward to recommencing on my training.

Good luck to all the rest who are training for the Adidas Women Challenge 08.
