Follow me on my journey to raise awareness of Lupus and become a marathon runner.

I will be running the 2010 London marathon to support my sister Viki after she was diagnosed with Lupus 18 months ago.

Money I raise from the marathon run will be used to help continue funding the Lupus UK specialist nurse and the Lupus UK research co-ordinator, both based at Queen Elizabeth/City Hospitals, Birmingham - the first fully patient-funded posts of their kind in the UK.

My moto: “Be All You Can Be!”

Fabulous Fund Raising - £500!

This Friday & Saturday we managed to raise an amazing £500 for Lupus with the generous donations of Cannock’s shoppers.

Nan and Bill very kindly gave up their time to sell tickets to passers by who entered a draw for one of two hampers.  The prizes were jam packed with treats for Christmas and people gave in their hundreds.

We decorated a stall with  balloons and leaflets that highlighted information about Lupus.  Information was handed out to spread the word about the disease but amazingly many people said they had experience of or knew of someone who suffers from Lupus.

I want to say a huge thank you to everyone that was involved in making the event a success.  Cannock Shopping Centre management were particularly helpful in allowing us to use the stall.

The two lucky winners can now collect their prizes ready for Christmas and have been informed.

Well done Cannock.
