The slings and poison arrows of outrageous fortune....

Well chaps it’s decided. The choice between Rosemary Conley’s Real Results DVD and Coleen Nolan’s Let’s Get Physical was a difficult one, but I have made my decision. All things considered and with your love and support of course, I have reluctantly put Rosemary to one side for now and I’m going to tackle Coleen first. Mainly because you told me to and because the music on the workout looked slightly more my cup of tea. For starters it features two ABC tracks and they were and still are my favourite group from the 80’s (which I can barely remember and have mainly read about of course....)

Speaking of idols I’ve had quite a week of it, what with bumping into famous people and all. Andre Agassi no less was at the BBC yesterday. He was doing the rounds to publicise his autobiography and gave a compelling interview to Simon Mayo on Radio 5 Live. I can honestly say I was spellbound. He talked so engagingly about his life and with rare insight and intelligence. I would highly recommend giving it a listen if you have time. On a shallow note (which is my forte), I can exclusively reveal he is slightly smaller in real life than you would imagine and no, I couldn’t think of a single pithy thing to say to him as he approached in the office.

That’s the trouble. When you see someone famous in a situation like that, your mind tends to go blank. Now contrast that with almost bumping into Gary Barlow this morning in the make-up room. (who for my money has always looked like a cross between Tom Cruise and a younger David Beckham - discuss?). I missed this musical genius by mere moments, but I know I wouldn’t have been able to shut up if I’d actually run into him. I’d have told him in no uncertain terms that he was always my Take That favourite and asked him to write a song for me..... I think we can all agree it would have gone well.....
And talk about things falling into place I had a long natter with the lovely Chris Hollins yesterday. Now mere moments after blogging to you my friends and explaining the strategy I felt he needed to employ to reach the final, which involved not getting into the dance-off, the Strictly producers dropped the dance-off altogether! That is such a big help to our Chris, who is now the bookies’ favourite to win the whole thing. He is mortally embarrassed by that I can tell you!
However he is quietly hopeful ahead of his two dances this Saturday, which are the Argentine Tango and the Rumba. I’m so excited he is doing so well. What you see on telly is really him. He is one of life’s good guys. And he owes me a tenner for saying that... Right am off to do some vigorous stretching in preparation for the lovely Coleen Nolan. I have been up since 5am this morning, so I have a sneaky feeling she might just pummel me into submission. I’ll let you all know how it goes natch. Toodle pip.

Sue, wholeheartedly agree about ABC. I had the pleasure of seeing them on Sunday night in Manchester as they performed the Lexicon of Love backed by a full orchestra. Awesome stuff.
