Overview

That's my goal, simple. My first Marathon was FLM'08. It was awesome, got me completely hooked. No London for '09, did Edinburgh instead, and boy oh boy was it HOT. Much went against me, but despite the obstacles I finished 24 mins quicker than London the previous year. So now I want to do it all again, on behalf of the Stroke Association.

This will be my 3rd blog (something else I've got hooked on), you can see the others if you look at my "buzz".

Keep it to yourself, but I have a secret wish to get a "good for age" time on my long term radar. Should be fun this year too, as I'm chasing my dreams and working hard towards qualifying as a Personal Trainer. I'll keep you up to date with how that's going.

Also aiming to beat my PB's at EVERY distance between now and April 2010, so here goes...

A quick catch up....

Well Preston last week was a marker - the end of my "easy" training and the start of my training proper for London. I had a pretty decent weeks training to be honest, finally back at my Pilates classes, 2 sessions on the weights (missed the third because I was enjoying some quality time with my son, 2 short runs before (!) work, a brief tempo run on friday (racing against the setting sun) and a surprisingly quick 9 mile run on Sunday - 8.11 pace when I'd expected it to be around 8:30 - 8:40.

All seemed well but my achilles has been twingy today, probably that extra pace that's done it. Right, need to get off to my bed 'cause I've an early one planned for tomorrow morning, which I will of course be ditching if there is the slightest bit of a grumble from that troubled tendon! Will catch up with all your blogs tomorrow I reckon Smile.
