Overview

I'm really sorry, but I've had to withdraw from the race, due to illness.  i've applied to defer my entry until next year.

Good luck to anyone who's still running.

...a friend has just sent me this website.  Click on

http://www.runlondon.com/routefinder, then click on CREATE ROUTE.

You can then type in the postcode of your starting point, and plot your route to measure your run! (anywhere in the UK).  I've just plotted two of mine, and they're spot on!  Saves having to drive round the route to measure it!  You can also save your routes for future reference, or for sharing!!!

Sorry

I'm really sorry.  I feel like I've messed everyone around....but I've been forced to make a final decision.

I've been unwell recently, and am just starting to recover slowly.  This has mean't that I've had to withdraw from the race.  I've applied to defer my entry until next year, so hopefully, I'll see you there next year!

I will still be there to cheer you on, as Andy is running, so if anyone has arranged to meet up at the finish line, please let me know!

Thankyou to those who have sponsored me.  I have cancelled my fundraising page, and am happy to reimburse anyone who had already sponsored me (Margot, Sandy & Andy Kelsall).  The other option is to just leave it, and consider it sponsorship for Andy's run.

Sorry everyone, I'm really disappointed not to be joining in all the fun.  but it really is for the best.

Take care everyone, and good luck!

xx

Probably braver to make the decision not to run than to go through with it because you don't want to let people down. At least you can get sufficiient training in for next year! Best of luck to Andy and your support will be appreciated by many.

Really, really, sorry you've had to pull out, your early blogs when you were pounding around the 'ressie' really spurred me on with my training (although I was a bit concerned that you were already running 7 miles while I was back at 4!!). It must have been a hard decision to make but if you are unwell then you've done the brave thing and pulled out, or should I say deferred the race. Hey, I can already say I 'know' somebody doing the GNR in 2007.
Take care of yourself, good luck to Andy and to you for 2007 (I'll be checking blogs in 9 months time so I can nag you again !!)
All the best

Sorry to hear that you are going to run this year. It must have been a hard decision but I feel that you are doing the right thing. Many people will be running that should not be and they have problems.

Keep a look out for us all and cheer us on - it will be appreciated.

Hope you can keep the training going, as it will give you a very good basis for next year.

All the best for your recovery.

Hi
Sorry to hear you have been unwell but you have certainly made the right decision. Your blogs were always brilliant and left me feeling very motivated to get my trainers on and get out there! I wish Andy and yourself all the best!
Take care!

I'm really sorry you aren't going to run in the GNR this year. It must have taken a lot of soul searching to come to that decision. I hope you won't be too dissapointed. You can be proud of all that you have already achieved! What ever happens keep running and get well soon. See you next year!

Sorry to hear you are not running Alexis. Safer not to run if you are not up to it. Good luck for next year, you never know we may have all had such a good time this year that we may all be back blogging for next years!!

Its a shame but I'm sure you know whats best for you.Don't worry about the sponsorship.Hope you still enjoy the day x

SOunds like you made a wise decision--this way you can look forward to enjoying the day as a spectator and come back to run it next year in great spirits and good health. No worries about the sponsorship, especially if it's still ending up at Cancer research. ;-)
