Overview

I'm really sorry, but I've had to withdraw from the race, due to illness.  i've applied to defer my entry until next year.

Good luck to anyone who's still running.

...a friend has just sent me this website.  Click on

http://www.runlondon.com/routefinder, then click on CREATE ROUTE.

You can then type in the postcode of your starting point, and plot your route to measure your run! (anywhere in the UK).  I've just plotted two of mine, and they're spot on!  Saves having to drive round the route to measure it!  You can also save your routes for future reference, or for sharing!!!

Much better!

As promised, I got up yesterday morning....donned my kit, and did a much better job!  I'll tell you what though....it's amazing how much quicker you run when you know your parents are on their way over, and you haven't cleaned the house yet!!!  They phoned just as I was putting my running shoes on, so I knew I had two hours until they arrived!!!  I just did three miles, but I knocked 8 minutes off Monday's time!! My legs were much stronger, and I enjoyed it!

I then got back and cleaned the house at rapid speed!  Sat down with 10 minutes to spare, and acted like it was always that clean!!!!  I even managed to look offended when mum said "have you been running around cleaning then?!"  Tuh!!!

Gonna trot round the resevoir this weekend.  It'll take me longer than previous times, but it'll add a bit of distance!

Well done on the run...and the house cleaning. How come we never cleaned when we lived at home and promised ourselves we wouldn't when we got our own place, then fly into a panic when our parents are visiting? Can't work it out but I always put a bit of extra effort when my mum visits as well.

Good time and more important - you enjoyed it. I hadn't thought of dusting and hoovering as a warm down but its not a bad idea.
Hope the reservoir run goes well too. (followed by a cooking Sunday dinner warm down ?)
